Twitter is defining a new form of communication that is touching people's lives across the world. We are small but well-funded and building a company to last. We are currently a team of 30 and looking for a few key people who will help take us to the next level.

About this Job

Twitter has a uniquely authentic approach to communications—both internally and externally. Every week the entire company meets for a two hour presentation covering all the progress and setbacks of the week as well as plans for the future. Other days, visitors may give presentations. These simple events get more complex as the team grows and we need your help producing them effectively.

Media mentions about Twitter top 8,000 per week and Twitter receives hundreds of inbound requests per day. Our open and informal approach to public relations is essential and effective but the founders and executives cannot respond to every request in a timely manner. You can help us interact with a continuum of media to deliver information quickly, simply, and honestly.

Responsibilities

* Assist in the production of internal events and presentations
* Share information with users via blog, twitter, and email

* Filter and prioritize all inbound media and event requests
* Respond to basic requests and know when to escalate
* Triage prioritized requests with founders and executives
* Proactively build and maintain lists of media contacts

* Actively monitor media mentions of Twitter
* Coordinate and schedule press engagements for executives

Qualifications

* Authentic and succinct blogging and email style

* Superior written and spoken communication skills
* Excellent coordination experience and ability
* Strong and charismatic interpersonal skills
* Ability to maintain even temperament under stress
* Foreign language skills a plus
