About Us

Twitter is defining a new form of communication that is touching people's lives across the world. We are small but well-funded and building a company to last. We are currently a team of 25 and looking for a few key people who will help take us to the next level.

 

About Us

 

You will be responsible for the overall visual design of Twitter. Working with the product and engineering team, your job will be to define the look and feel of an app used by millions of people worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Design visually attractive and highly usable web interfaces
  • Build high-quality pages in HTML/CSS/JS for front end engineering team
  • Provide input/information on product direction through ideas and mockups

Requirements 

  • Extensive experience developing complex web application interfaces
  • Very strong visual-design skills and experience; ability to adapt to different design styles and adhere to a brand guideline
  • Great interaction-design instincts; can execute user flows, wireframes, etc.
  • Demonstrated comprehension (portfolio) of design theory, web design, typography and color.
  • Good cross-browser CSS/HTML coding skills; basic JavaScript coding skills
  • Good understanding of end to end product management / development process
  • Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite (PhotoShop, Illustrator, Flash is a plus)
  • Innate curiosity about design trends and tools; keep up with industry trends
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize projects and communicate timelines
  • Great attention to detail; meets commitments, doesn't miss deadlines
  • Active Twitter user


Bonus Points

  • Ability to code in Ruby on Rails
  • Wicked JavaScript coding skills
